CNIC Registration of FESCO consumers

FESCO offers its customers the ability to update their connection information. FESCO clients can update their CNICs online by visiting mnr.pitc. You can update your CNIC, CNIC owner, mobile number and address.

You can also access a variety of eServices by updating your information on the FESCO Portal, such as duplicate FESCO invoices, SMS notifications and online connection modification through CCMS.

Consumers are protected

Protected consumers are those who have consumed less than 200 units in the last six months.

Benefits:

  • Get lower electricity rates than unprotected customers.
  • Subsidies to reduce the cost of electricity

Consumers who are not protected

They are the consumers who do not meet the protected status criteria (consume more than 200 kWh per month). The protected consumers receive subsidies and minimal rates on their electricity bills.

Reduce your electricity bill

Reduce your electric bill by following these simple guidelines

  • Reduce excessive lighting.
  • Use fluorescent bulbs in place of the traditional ones.
  • Minimize the use of high-energy-consuming appliances such as air conditioners, electric heaters, water pumps, microwaves, and washing machines.
  • Use less electricity between the hours of 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Maintain the temperature of your air conditioner at 26 degrees.
  • Use energy-efficient machines in industrial settings.
  • Use only high-quality cables for wiring.
  • Once your mobile device is fully charged, unplug the charger.
  • Installing Time of Use (TOU), or Time of Day, meters is easy.

Install TOU/TOD Meter

The TOU/TOD meters offer variable rates per unit in peak and off-peak times. FESCO bills can be reduced by effectively managing energy consumption at peak times. You can change your current connection if you have a meter that does not support TOU/TOD. Alternatively, you can ask for a FESCO New Connection.

The peak hours of FESCO are:
December to February 5 pm to 9:00 pm
March to May 6pm to 10pm
From June to August 7pm to 11pm
September to November 6pm to 10pm

How to check the load Shedding Schedule

  • Visit the site for CCMS.
  • Click on feeder details.
  • Press the Submit button and enter your 14-digit reference. The schedule for load shedding your feeder will be displayed. The time will be marked with’Off’ to indicate that the feeder is off.
  • Click on the’search by city’ button and enter your details.

Register and track complaints

CCMS allows you to track existing complaints against FESCO or create a new one. These are the steps to follow if you wish to file a complaint.

  1. Visit the site for CCMS.
  2. Click on Register a Complaint.
  3. Verify that you are a registered FESCO customer by using your mobile number or FESCO reference number.
  4. Select your reference number or mobile number in step 3.
  5. If you are a registered FESCO customer, your details will appear in the section Customer information.
  6. Enter the details of your complaint under Complaint Detail Section.
  7. Click on the Register Complaint Button.
  8. Click on the navigation bar and select ‘Track by Reference to track your complaint’.
  9. Click the Search button and enter your reference number. Your complaint’s status will be displayed.

Your complaint will be acknowledged within 24 hours. Your complaint will be dealt with within 14 days.

Extending the Due Date and Installments

You can request an extension of the due date to pay bills without paying late payment surcharge. You can also request to split the bill into multiple installments.

Taxes In WAPDA Bill

Your WAPDA bill includes many taxes. Taxes are detailed as follows:

FPA

Fuel Price Adjustment is the difference between fuel prices and generation mix. The average cost of fuel in a given month will be added to all consumer’s bills if the cost is higher. If the fuel price is lower than the reference cost, then a monthly average is deducted from all consumer’s bills.

F.C. Surcharge

The Financing Cost Surcharge is 43 cents per unit. The Financing Cost surcharge collected is used to repay the loan.

TV FEE

Your bill will be increased by Rs. 35 to raise funds for Pakistan Television (PTV).

GST

GST is a general sales tax that adds 17% to the total cost of electricity.

How do I check the fesco invoice with no reference number?

You can check your bill using the customer id printed on your bill if you don’t have an old bill. You can also check your customer id/reference number if you do not have an old bill by entering your registered mobile phone number.

What should I do if I don’t receive my bill?

How do I request a bill correction?

FESCO has set up Customer Care Centers in all Sub-Division, Division, Circle, and HQ levels, where you may apply to correct wrong bills. You can contact FESCO Helpline with any query.

How do I check FESCO Bill History?

The last 12 months of your bill history will be printed on the latest bill. Visit FESCO Bill History to see all your previous bills.

What are the options for a consumer to adjust their load capacity?
To submit a request, you must contact the SDO or the relevant authority. The SDO will verify and test your load, then proceed to process any increase or decrease.

 

How does the meter readout get recorded?

The meter is read by a meter reader who visits the premises from door to door. The readings are then recorded on both the Meter Reading Card and the Meter Reading Record. This keeps the consumer up-to-date on their electricity usage.

Can a bill that is incorrect be corrected?

The consumer must report any errors on a bill to the appropriate Sub-Division/Revenue Office.

How long is the grace period for paying electricity bills?

Electricity bills are allowed to be paid within a 7-day grace period.
